Abstraksi

ABSTRACT Nita PujiRahayu, 2015.Effect of Curcuma (Curcuma Roxb xanthorrhiza) Decline Against Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) On Student Semester 1 Stikes Muhammadiyah Lamongan. Leader (1) Heny Ekawati, S.Kep.,Ns., M.Kes leader (2) Hj.Tarmi, S.ST., S.Psi.,M.Kes. Dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain that occurs in lower abdomen that radiates down and leg pain and cramps intermittently or continuously. Based on initial study by researchers who have disminore up to 80%. Knowing purpose of this study effect of ginger against menstrual pain itensitas dysmenorrhea. Method This study was pre - experimental design with a focus group pretest – post test, techniques using simple random sampling. A population of 35 students with a sample of 33 students, pain levels were measured before and after administration of turmeric. Analysis with SPSS for Windows version 16.0 with Wilcoxon rank test. The results showed that most respondents after being given ginger experienced mild pain as much as 17 respondents (51.5%) and none experiencing severe pain. The results of statistical tests effect of turmeric (Curcuma Xanthorrhizaroxb) Against Menstrual Pain Decrease (dysmenorrhea) with SPSS version 16.0 using results of Wilcoxon signed rank test evidence obtained Z value: -4.123 p: 0.000 where p < 0.05. so the can be concluded that Ho is rejected, meaning that is not the effect of Curcuma Xanthorrhizaroxb decreasing the rate of dysmenorrhea Seeing the results of this study are expected to let people know ways to reduce menstrual pain with no pharmacological means.
