Abstraksi

ABSTRACT This research was motivated by due to the emergency patient in a yellow triage who expressed a long time got treatment and was left waiting with uncomfortable due to the illness suffered, so it can cause increased anxiety while in the emergency room. The aim of research is to determine the relationship of nurse’s response time with a patient’s anxiety level on yellow triage category in the emergency room of Muhammadiyah hospital of Babat. Desaign research is an analytic survey with cross sectional, population that all the patients in ER who met the inclusion criteria. This research sample are 77 respondents obtained by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument using questionnaire Analog Anxiety Scale and observation sheet measurement results of nurse’s response time. The result of the statistical test using Pearson Product Momment test at 95% significance level (α ≤ 0,05 ), then the ρ value = 0,002. This mean that the ρ value < α (0,05). Thus that there is a significance the relationship between the nurse's response time with the anxiety level of the yellow triage category patients at the emergency department hospital muhammadiyah Babat. Advice much improved response time by improving human resources, infrastructure and existing management in order to achieve a quality of service quality so that the service provided can be optimized and the patient can feel more calm and patient anxiety can be decreased while in the ER.
